New Delhi, October 8, 2025 — Art Magnum, in collaboration with CIMA (Centre of International Modern Art), unveiled Jaya Ganguly: A Retrospective 1982–2025 on October 7 at the Visual Arts Gallery and Open Palm Court, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Curated by Rakhi Sarkar, Director of CIMA, the retrospective spans over four decades of Ganguly’s artistic journey, exploring themes of gender, identity, and resilience. Known for her bold lines and emotionally charged faces, Ganguly’s work delves into the silent struggles and strength of women in patriarchal societies.

The preview evening drew enthusiastic participation from Delhi’s art community, including leading artists, curators, and collectors. Speaking at the event, Saurabh Singhvi, Director of Art Magnum, said, “Jaya’s work is raw, questioning, and deeply human. We are honoured to present this retrospective in Delhi.”

Rakhi Sarkar added, “Her art represents the voice of a woman who has seen, endured, and continues to create from a place of strength and empathy.”

The exhibition is open to the public and continues to attract viewers seeking to experience Ganguly’s rare and introspective works.
