New Delhi, September 01, 2025 : Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS assumed charge as Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal today. Shri Sanjay Singhal is a 1993 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Earlier, Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS was working as Special Director General, Border Security Force.
Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS, originally hails from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. During his service period, he worked as Superintendent of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police in Auraiya, Bahraich, Hathras, Unnao, Mainpuri, Basti, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Shahjahanpur and Muzaffarnagar and strengthened law and order through excellent leadership, decision making and public participation. Apart from this, while being Commandant in PAC battalions, he discharged security and crowd control related responsibilities with utmost efficiency and skill.
