*DDCA Holds AGM 2025–26; Gifts 20 Motorcycles to Delhi Police for Matchday Support*

New Delhi, 23rd December 2025: The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Tuesday held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2025–26 term at its registered office at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Ferozeshah Kotla Ground, New Delhi, where key governance matters were discussed and approved by the members. The occasion also marked a significant gesture of institutional collaboration, with the DDCA gifting 20 motorcycles to the Delhi Police, Central District, in recognition of their continued support during cricketing events held at the venue.

During the AGM, members approved a special resolution to appoint Hon’ble Justice Mr. M.M. Kumar, former Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court, as the Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer of the Association. In addition, four ordinary business agenda were taken up and passed by an absolute majority, including the adoption of the audited financial statements for the financial year 2025 and the re-appointment of the Association’s Chartered Accountants, among other statutory matters.

Speaking on the proceedings of the AGM, DDCA President Mr. Rohan Jaitley said, “The Annual General Meeting is central to the democratic functioning and governance framework of the DDCA. The decisions taken today, including the appointment of the Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer, reflect our commitment to transparency, accountability and robust institutional processes.”

Later in the day, the DDCA formally handed over 20 motorcycles to the Delhi Police, Central District, acknowledging their critical role in ensuring safety, crowd management and smooth operations during national and international cricket matches hosted at the Arun Jaitley Stadium throughout the year.

Thanking the Delhi Police, Mr. Jaitley added, “The successful conduct of major cricketing events in Delhi is made possible through close coordination with the Delhi Police. Their professionalism and timely assistance are vital to maintaining safety and order during matchdays. This initiative is a small token of our appreciation and a step towards strengthening operational efficiency on the ground.”

The motorcycles were received by Mr. Rishi Kumar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the Delhi Police, Central District. Expressing his gratitude, he stated that the additional vehicles would contribute to better mobility and improved law and order management, both during sporting events and routine policing duties.

The AGM and the motorcycle distribution ceremony were attended by DDCA Vice President Ms. Shikha Kumar, Secretary Mr. Ashok Sharma, Treasurer Mr. Harish Singla, Joint Secretary Mr. Amit Grover, along with members of the Apex Council, who thanked the members of the Association for their presence and continued support.

The twin initiatives underscore DDCA’s focus on strong governance and meaningful institutional partnerships, aimed at ensuring the seamless hosting of cricketing events in the national capital.
