Theme Pandal, Nava Durga Idol, Cultural Extravaganza, CSR Initiatives to Mark the 26th Milestone Year remembering Uttam Kumar, the Bengal’s screen icon’s birth centenary.
Bongotoru proudly presents its 26th years of culture, community, and togetherness. What began as a dream of creating a cultural home away from home has grown into a vibrant family preserving Bengali traditions while fostering unity and harmony.
This year’s theme pandal pays tribute to the icon Uttam Kumar, reflecting its 100th birth anniversary observed on 3rd September this year. Bongotoru’s journey from a modest start 26 years ago to a thriving community. With intricate designs, symbolic motifs, and creative use of light and color, the pandal beautifully portrays Uttam Kumar’s cinematic journey. At its heart stands the Nava Durga idol, sculpted by renowned Manik Pal from Chittaranjan Park, Delhi. Bongotoru is proud to be the only organizer in Delhi NCR to present this idol for six consecutive years.
The celebration starts from 15th October with Anandamela followed by idol inauguration on 16th October (Sasthi) and concluding with idol procession and immersion on 21st October 2026 (Dashami).
