New Delhi, November 3, 2026: The spotlight is on India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector as the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE) 2026 brings together global energy leaders, policymakers, investors, manufacturers and innovators at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The four-day international event, being held from November 2 to 5, is providing a major platform to showcase cutting-edge renewable energy technologies, explore investment opportunities and strengthen international partnerships.

Organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, the summit carries the theme ‘Invest. Innovate. Inspire.’ It aims to accelerate the global clean energy transition by connecting governments, businesses, research institutions and technology providers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the summit on November 2, highlighting the importance of clean energy for India’s energy security, economic growth and sustainable development.
400+ Exhibitors Showcase Renewable Energy Innovations

A major highlight of Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026 is its extensive international exhibition, featuring more than 400 manufacturers, renewable energy developers, technology providers, startups and research institutions from India and overseas.

The exhibition showcases innovative products, technologies and solutions across several important segments, including:
- Solar energy and advanced photovoltaic technologies.
- Wind energy generation and infrastructure.
- Green hydrogen production and applications.
- Battery technology and energy storage solutions.
- Smart grids and power transmission systems.
- Renewable energy manufacturing and equipment.
- Emerging clean technologies and sustainable energy solutions.

The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to explore the latest industry developments, connect with technology providers and understand the innovations shaping the future of renewable energy.
Global Participation and International Partnerships

The summit is witnessing participation from abroad, bringing together international policymakers, ministers, investors and industry representatives.
Nine international country partners include Australia, Denmark, the European Union, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Additionally, 13 Indian states and Union Territories are showcasing their renewable energy potential, manufacturing capabilities and investment opportunities.
The event is designed to encourage business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G) and government-to-government (G2G) engagements, creating opportunities for strategic collaborations, technology transfers and project development.
Three Major Global Energy Platforms Under One Roof
Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026 is being organised alongside two significant international energy platforms:

- 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly: Focused on strengthening global cooperation, investment and institutional capacity in solar energy.
- 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2026): Dedicated to advancing green hydrogen technologies, investments and large-scale commercial applications.
Together, these platforms are expected to strengthen international collaboration and accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy technologies.

India’s Renewable Energy Ambitions Take Centre Stage
India’s clean energy transition remains a central focus of the summit. With approximately 308 GW of installed non-fossil fuel capacity, the country is progressing towards its ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, achieving these ambitions will require substantial investments, estimated at approximately USD 220 billion between 2027 and 2030.
The summit provides an important opportunity for investors and industry stakeholders to explore India’s growing renewable energy market, particularly in energy storage, domestic manufacturing, transmission infrastructure, solar power, wind energy and green hydrogen.

Innovation, Startups and Future Opportunities
Beyond business and investment discussions, the event also highlights the role of young innovators, startups and researchers in developing next-generation clean energy solutions.
Key attractions include the Bharat Renewable Energy Hackathon 2026, the RE National Renewable Energy Quiz 2026 and the REGen Pavilion, which provides a platform for students, entrepreneurs and emerging innovators to present their ideas and engage with industry experts.
These initiatives underline the importance of innovation, research, entrepreneurship and skill development in building a competitive renewable energy ecosystem.

A Significant Platform for the Future of Clean Energy
Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 represents an important milestone in India’s journey towards a sustainable, secure and self-reliant energy future.
With its combination of international participation, technology exhibitions, policy discussions and investment opportunities, the event is expected to strengthen India’s position as a major global destination for renewable energy development and manufacturing.

As the exhibition continues at Bharat Mandapam until November 5, 2026, industry leaders, investors, innovators and stakeholders have an important opportunity to connect, collaborate and explore the technologies that will shape tomorrow’s energy landscape.
