New Delhi, 27 April 2026: The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) launched its 75th anniversary celebrations in the presence of Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, senior officials, and top athletes, marking a significant milestone for Indian shooting.

On the occasion, NRAI unveiled its commemorative 75-year logo and announced a nationwide grassroots initiative to introduce 7.5 lakh students to shooting through a ‘10-shot experience’ ahead of the 2028 Olympics, in collaboration with CBSE, KVS, universities, and state bodies.

The federation also launched the NRAI Athlete App, a digital platform for athlete registration, performance tracking, and programme management, positioning NRAI as a fully digitised sports body.

The event further highlighted progress around the upcoming Shooting League of India (SLI), including a teaser showcasing its fan-focused, franchise-based format aimed at expanding the sport’s reach.

Officials emphasised that these initiatives will strengthen grassroots participation, talent identification, and the overall growth of shooting in India, while athletes like Manu Bhaker welcomed efforts to make the sport more accessible and future-ready.
