New Delhi: With three goals each from Sonu Sharma and Manju, along with an excellent performance by defenders, the Delhi University Alumna team defeated Vivekananda College 6–0 to win the women’s title in the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey Tournament.
At the ground of host Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, former Delhi players representing the DU Alumna team used their experience, hockey skills, and fitness earned through hard work to completely dominate the young players of Vivekananda College in the final. Sonu and Manju scored three goals each for the winning team. Manju was awarded the SNS Player of the Match.

- Best Midfielder: Inderpreet Kaur (DU Alumna)

- Player of the Tournament: Ekta (Vivekananda College, sponsored by HS Sports)
Former Olympic hockey captain and Padma Shri awardee Shri Zafar Iqbal, Deputy Director (Sports) of the Delhi Directorate of Education Shri S. Sunil, renowned commentator and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ravi Chaturvedi, National Sports Promotion Award-winning hockey historian Shri K. Arumugam, and Ms Inderpreet Kaur, Director of Physical Education and Sports at Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, presented trophies and medals to the players.
On this occasion, Zafar Iqbal encouraged all players to continue working hard and appreciated the organizers for their efforts to promote hockey. The tournament was sponsored by the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), Ayouth Veda, SNS, and HS Sports.
