Guwahati, September 30, 2026: India won the toss and opted to bowl. India produced a stunning batting performance to defeat West Indies by eight wickets in the second ODI at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
West Indies posted a huge 405/7 in 50 overs, with centuries from John Campbell (101), Shai Hope (104) and Amir Jangoo (114).
India then chased down the 406-run target in just 43.3 overs. Captain Shubman Gill smashed an unbeaten 223, while Rohit Sharma scored 101, powering India to a record successful chase.
With this victory, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The third ODI will be played on October 3.
