BWF World Championships New Delhi 2026 Tickets on Sale

New Delhi, June 22, 2026: The Badminton Association of India has announced BookMyShow as the Official Ticketing Agency for the BWF World Championships New Delhi 2026, with tickets going on sale today, June 22. Over 6,000 seats will be available for the general public across multiple price categories, exclusively through the BookMyShow platform, as the Championships return to India after 17 years at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium from August 17 to 23.

The field will feature badminton’s biggest stars, including Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu, and men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who will compete at a BWF World Championships on home soil for the first time. Joining them will be icons of world badminton–women’s singles leader An Se-young, Chinese men’s contenders Shi Yu Qi and Li Shi Feng, and Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, among the most consistent performers on tour. Traditional South-East Asian powerhouses Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia will also be strongly represented.

Tickets to catch the action live start as cheap as INR 499 under the Early Bird offer, with six seating categories available in total. Fans can also avail a 15 per cent Early Bird discount across the remaining five categories for a limited period, with premium seating priced at INR 5,500 for a complete matchday experience. Ticket sales will open in phases, beginning with the opening four days of competition, with category pricing remaining consistent through to the Finals.

Organised by the Badminton Association of India under the aegis of the Badminton World Federation, the Championships are the sport’s most prestigious title event. When India hosted the BWF World Championships in Hyderabad in 2009, it marked the beginning of a defining period for Indian badminton. Since 2011, India has won a medal at every edition, emerging and establishing itself as one of the sport’s leading nations.
