New Aadhaar Seva Kendra Opened in Vikaspuri, New Delhi

New Delhi, June 15, 2026: In a significant step towards improving citizen services, a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra was inaugurated in Vikaspuri, West Delhi, by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. The state-of-the-art centre is expected to enhance access to Aadhaar-related services for residents of the area and surrounding localities.

The newly opened Aadhaar Seva Kendra is equipped with upgraded demographic and biometric facilities, enabling citizens to conveniently update their personal details, including address, mobile number, and other demographic information, as well as complete biometric updates such as fingerprints and iris scans.

Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the importance of Aadhaar in facilitating access to various government welfare schemes and public services. He said that Aadhaar has become a key instrument in ensuring transparent and efficient delivery of government benefits, and the new centre will further strengthen citizen access to these services.

Delhi Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh and West Delhi Member of Parliament Kamaljeet Sehrawat were also present during the inauguration ceremony. They welcomed the opening of the new facility and emphasized its role in providing hassle-free Aadhaar services to local residents.

The Aadhaar Seva Kendra is expected to significantly benefit people living in Vikaspuri and nearby areas by reducing travel time and easing the process of Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and verification. The centre will help residents access essential services closer to their homes while improving the overall efficiency of Aadhaar-related operations.

With modern infrastructure and enhanced service capabilities, the new Aadhaar Seva Kendra marks another step towards strengthening digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery in the national capital.
